
Below are brief descriptions of our programs. New program areas currently under development include remote auditioning and recruitment via videoconferencing. Faculty have the opportunity to offer guidance and advisement through the Distance Learning Advisory Committee, which meets periodically throughout the academic year. Our programs are presented to institutions of higher education, K12 schools, and performing and community organizations both nationally and internationally. For our faculty Manhattan School of Music faculty members are encouraged to present distance learning programs through the Masters at Manhattan Online or Music Bridges programs. Programs variety of distance learning opportunities are available to our many constituents.
Regular videoconference lessons are provided for MSM students enrolled in the Zukerman Performance Program Thomas Hampson Telementoring Program Selected MSM voice students receive telementoring videoconference sessions with American baritone, Thomas Hampson Orchestral Performance Videoconference Masterclass Series This program presents series of interactive videoconference masterclasses featuring MSM jazz artistsfaculty with talented Canadian music students. In addition to innovative programming content, the distance learning program has been instrumental in advancing and adapting videoconferencing technology and music applications through research and development collaborations with Internet2 and Polycom, Inc.
