The History of Board Governance Executive Education Distance Learning Partnerships Roy Ahn, Research Fellow What is the next generation of education andcapacity building for nonprofit and civil society leaders aroundthe world? The Hauser Center has been developing distancelearning initiative designed to help train nonprofit and civilsociety leaders who cannot come to Harvard to attend executiveeducation workshops, and in doing so, would significantly expandits outreach to the sector.

Leadership, Collective Action, and Social Change Federated Organizations Volume For instance, onecould post study materials on organizational learning on theInternet, but would nonprofit leaders read these materials? If so,could they apply these lessons to their own organizations withoutbeing trained on adapting such materials? EELDP offers different approach, emphasizing the sharing ofpedagogy and instructional resources with faculty at otheruniversities and training organizations partners whotrain current and future nonprofit and civil society leaders intheir societies.

The Role of Nonprofits in the Lives of Urban Dwellers Ahn hopes to help the Center and his faculty leads eventuallycreate ring of distancelearning partners around the globe, and,in doing so, expand the Centers reach to nonprofit and civilsociety leaders by several orders of magnitude.
